Tool Donations

We accept donations of working tools anytime!

Tools may be put into Inventory for other members to use, sold to help support our operations, or used for parts.

You can drop off Tool Donations during our open hours or use the form below to schedule a pickup or drop off time. If you have a large quantity or unique tools, we appreciate the heads up!

Unfortunately, due to our ongoing maintenance needs and limited volunteers, we are unable to accept items in need of repair. But, if you think you may have an exception, get in touch using the form below!

Monetary Donations

We rely on your generous donations to keep our membership costs low. We appreciate any amount you are able to give.

We are a 501(c)(3). Your donations of money and tools are tax-deductible – and support your community directly. If you need a tax form for your donation, please reach out to the Board of Directors.

Empowerment Works

Original Fiscal Sponsor of the Asheville Tool Library. Empowerment WORKS unites a diverse network of Partners In Empowerment (PIE) to catalyze local solutions to global problems from the ground up.

MyTurn

MyTurn develops and manages our inventory and membership software and is currently powering over 80 Tool Libraries and other Library of Things. 

Asheville Makers

Asheville Makers is a makerspace in the Asheville area. They are friendly community of tinkerers, makers, engineers, educators, scientists, artists, hackers, geeks, etc. Anyone who is, aspires to be, or just wants to hang around with local smart, creative, friendly mad scientist folk is welcome!
